Wet Paint
Your camera, painted live.
Wet Paint is an iPhone camera that turns what it sees into a painting while you look. Point it at a street, a friend, or a cup of coffee and watch it become ink, watercolor, brush, or pencil, then take the photo or record the video.
Four looks
-
Ink & Color Flat color and bold ink lines. -
Watercolor Washes, blooms, and paper texture. -
Sumi ink Ink washes, dry brush, and a red seal. -
Pencil sketch Hatching that follows every form.
Photos and video
Tap the shutter for a full-resolution photo, painted the way it looked on screen. Press and hold to record a video. Everything is painted on your iPhone and saved to your Photos library.
Wet Paint Pro
Wet Paint is free with Ink & Color and its presets, 15-second videos, and a small watermark. Wet Paint Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription: it unlocks every look, now and in the future, the fine-tuning sliders on every look, videos as long as you like, and no watermark.
Where it came from
Wet Paint started as live camera filters on this site that run in the browser. You can still try them: cel shade, watercolor, sumi ink, and pencil sketch, along with the rest of the vision experiments. The app is the native version, with full-resolution photos, video, and every look in one camera.
Questions
- Does Wet Paint upload my photos?
- No. Painting happens on your iPhone, and your photos and videos go to your Photos library and nowhere else. There's no account, no analytics, and no ads. See the privacy policy.
- Which iPhones does it run on?
- Any iPhone with iOS 17 or later. On older iPhones the painting gets a little softer so the preview stays smooth.
- Is there a subscription?
- No. Pro is a single purchase, and it covers every look added later.
- Need help?
